Carlos Manuel de Cespedes

Carlos Manuel de Cespedes, usually known simply as Cespedes, is a municipality in the province of Camaguey. It is named after Carlos Manuel de Cespedes, considered one of the fathers of the Cuban nation. It is the administrative seat of the same city.

Cespedes is located approximately 50 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Camaguey. It has an area of 653 square kilometers and has about 26,000 inhabitants, representing about 39 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The main industry is agriculture. It produces food, vegetables and livestock operations.
