Havana Buses

Currently there are two key state enterprises for such transportation in the Cuban capital, with stops from 800 to 1000m and a frequency in peak hours of about 10 min. The price of public transport is very low: 40 cents of Cuban Peso (CUP) which amounts to less than 2 U.S. cents, and is heavily subsidized by the state.

Metrobus

This is modern and large vehicles of Yutong brand made in China and Russian-made Liaz. This company leads the main routes that are Havana Busesdenoted with the letter P:
P-1 (La Rosita-Beach) which connects the suburbs of San Miguel del Padron with the financial center of Vedado and Miramar hotel zone, taking its main stops in the Virgen del Camino, Cuatro Caminos and La Rampa.

P-2 (Alberro-ban), that connects the town with municipalities Cotorro, Plaza Hill and finishing its tour in Vedado, taking its main stops in the town of Cotorro, along the Dolores Street and Lacret Santos Suarez in Lawton and respectively, the Sports City, the National Bus Terminal, 23 and G Street and 3rd.

P-3 (Alamar-Tunnel Line) links the Alamar in East Havana Guanabacoa with the cities, San Miguel del Padron, Hill and Plaza, taking its main stops in Alamar, roundabout Cojimar, the light of Guanabacoa, Virgen del Camino, the Viper, Sports City, Havana Zoo, and near the tunnel line and the iron bridge over the river Almendares which facilitates access to Miramar.

P-4 (St. Augustine Beach-Terminal Train) which connects the west division located in the municipality of Playa Lisa, Vedado, Central Havana and Old Havana, taking its main stops in St. Augustine, the Marina, Beach, 41, 44, 23 and 12, La Rampa, the Carlos III and Queen Street and Central Havana, and the Central Railway Station.

P-5 (San Agustin-Terminal Train) connects St. Augustine with the Lisa, Marianao Vedado, Centro Habana and borders the historic area of Old Havana on the Avenida del Puerto, taking its main stops on the bridge of La Lisa, Marianao Square, Military Hospitals, Pediatric and Pando Ferrer Eye Marianao, the streets 31 and Line, La Rampa, Calle San Lazaro and Avenida del Puerto.

P-6 (Cast Electric-ban), connects to Mantilla, Parraga and La Palma through the Causeway of 10 October with Cuatro Caminos and Vedado, taking its main stops on the Electric division, Calvary, Mantilla, La Palma, the Viper, the corner of Toyo, Cuatro Caminos, Belascoain, Ameijeiras Brothers Hospital, and L Street in Vedado, near the University of Havana and La Rampa.

P-7 (Alberro-Fraternity Park) connects the town Cotorro with the Virgen del Camino, the commercial district of central Havana and the historical center of Old Havana, taking its main stops along the Calzada de Guines The Virgen del Camino Hospital, Daughters of Galicia, the corner of Toyo, Cuatro Caminos and the park of the fraternity.

P-8 (Cast Electric-Pan American Village) connecting the municipalities of Arroyo Naranjo and 10th October in Central Havana, Old Havana and Havana del Este through the Tunnel of Havana Bay, taking its main stops similar to the P-6 to Cuatro Caminos where he takes to the Capitol, the Paseo del Prado, The Point and through the tunnel stops at the Morro-Cabana Complex, the Naval Hospital and the Pan American Village.

P-9 (La Palma-CUJAE) out of La Palma that follows the same route and stops as the P-6 to get to the ramp where the streets continuing 23, 41 and 114 in the municipalities of Plaza, Beach and Marianao to reach its final destination, taking its main stops in the same places as the P-6 to Ameijeiras Hospital and later at the Ramp, 23 and 12, 41 and 44, Marianao Hospitals and Polytechnic University.

P-10 (Viper-Beach): connecting the Viper and the west side of Arroyo Naranjo municipality areas Altahabana hospitals, Marianao Beach and through the Ave 70, Calle 3ra up to the Boat in Playa , taking its main stops on the Viper, La Palma, Pearl Street, the William Soler Hospital and National. 100, Asia House, 100 and 51, the terminal Lido, Blindness, 3rd and 70, the amusement park Cocos Island and the Yacht.

P-11 (Alamar-ban), connects this distribution to the east of the city through the Tunnel of the Bay with the center of Havana and Vedado, taking its main stops throughout Alamar Ave Monumental, La Punta, Capitol Hill, Queen. Carlos III to G and 25 in Vedado.
P-12 (Santiago de la Vegas-Fraternity Park) that connects all the southern district of Asia House and the Airport area in Central Havana and Old Havana through the Independence Avenue and the streets Carlos III and Queen, taking its main stops in Santiago de las Vegas, Jose Marti International Airport, Fontana, Cujae the junction of 100 and Cattle, Sports City, the National Bus Terminal and the Park of the fraternity.

P-13 (Santiago de la Vegas-La Palma-Fraternity Park) connecting the Arroyo Naranjo municipality Boyeros and across the Causeway Bejucal with La Palma, Lawton, Luyano, the ring port to the Park Brotherhood, Havana Buses1taking its main stops at the airport, the bridge Calabazar, La Palma, Porvenir and Dolores, the Central Railway Station to their final destination.

P-14 (St. Augustine Fraternity Park) connects the town with the Lisa and Marianao Cerro and Centro Habana Old Havana. taking its main stops on the Rotunda of the Bride of the South, the Lisa, the Plaza de Marianao, 51 and 100 and advancing through Puentes Grandes, Cerro walkways and stopping at Monte Hill and Cattle, Hospital Salvador Allende (Covadonga) Corner of Texas, Cuatro Caminos and Fraternity Park.

P-15 (Alamar-Guanabacoa-ban), that connects to that allocation, Guanabacoa and Rule to Old Havana, Central Havana and Vedado through the Ring of Puerto de la Bahia de la Habana, taking its main stops in Alamar, Berroa, throughout Guanabacoa and Regla, Central Railway Station, the Fraternity Park following the same route and stops like the P-11 to G and 25 in Vedado.

P-16 (Santiago de las Vegas, Vedado-Hosp. Ameijeiras), a similar route and stops as the P-12 almost all the way to the bus terminal where you take the National Street G down to 23 to the seawall and from there to its final destination, taking its stops after leaving Independence Avenue G and 25, Coppelia, La Rampa and Hosp. Ameijeiras.

PC (Naval Hospital-Beach) surrounds the suburban part of the city through the first ring of Havana and links all exits of the city roads and highways, taking its main stops at the Naval Hospital to the east of Havana, Berroa, the junctions with the National Highway, the Central Highway, Highway Melena del Sur, Calzada de Managua, Lenin Park, the Avenue of Bejucal, Avenida de la Independencia, the Polytechnic University, the Military Hospital and Beach east of the city.

Metropolitan Bus

It’s called “Feeder Line” and connects the metropolitan area within the various municipalities. The so-called “baby” is smaller and includes brands like Mercedes-Benz or Yutong.

Intercity Bus

The state company ASTRO (Association towards bus transport) is responsible for joining Havana with the rest of the country by comfortable bus terminals based on two principles:

Since the 70s of last century and until 2004 there was an important fleet of Japanese Hino buses that were very popular and were known as the Omnibus white fang which transported millions of Cubans across the four corners of the island.
